How To Make  A Skin Lightening Soap?

Tonnes of makeup layered on the skin cannot hide pigmentation, uneven skin tone, and dull skin. If your skin is healthy on the inside, you naturally look and feel good. And makeup will obviously add magic! But most of us already follow a strict skin care routine and sometimes get tired of it. How about getting instant glow without a time consuming skincare routine in just one wash? Sounds great, right?

Today I have a skin lightening solution for you that solves most of your problems related to your skin. And the best part is that you can easily prepare it at the comfort of your home. It’s a Skin Lightening soap, made from Moroccon nila powder and rice with a few more skin-loving ingredients. Try it for a week and you’ll fall in love with your skin.

Ingredients for Skin Lightening Soap

You can find the ingredients for this skin lightening soap easily at home or from the nearby market. Follow the list and instructions below to make skin lightening soap.

  1. Goat Milk Whitening Soap base: It’s the key ingredient for soap making as we need lye (sodium hydroxide, i.e. the chemical that produces lather and is mainly used for cleansing) which is already present in this soap. If we try to prepare raw lye, it can be dangerous if handled without precautions.
  2. Moroccan Nila Powder (1 spoon): Also known as Moroccan Indigo Powder, it is commonly used in skin lightening and whitening products. It helps in reducing hyper pigmentation and evens out the skin tone. It’s a natural exfoliator rich in antioxidants. It has soothing properties making it suitable for sensitive skin and it also detoxifies the skin.
  3. Vitamin E Oil (2 Capsules): It hydrates and repairs the skin, especially dry and ultra dry skin, leaving it plump and healthy. It gives a glowy shine to the face and body. Vitamin E oil capsules are easily available in the market. You need just two capsules for this soap.
  4. Cooked Rice (4 spoons): If you have left over rice great (make sure they’re not spoiled already), if not, take 2 spoons of uncooked rice and cook them.
  5. Aloe Vera Gel (2 spoons): Aloe Vera has moisturizing and soothing properties. It’s an excellent ingredient for skin, makes the skin smooth and acne free.

Procedure to Make Skin Lightening Soap

Let’s jump right to the procedure of making our favorite budget-friendly skin lightening soap. Now you know all the ingredients and why they are important for making soap, let’s understand the steps of making it.

  1. Take cooked rice in a pan (or cook the rice in the pan) over medium heat with a spoonful of water. Mash the rice into a paste while allowing the water to evaporate.
  2. Once the rice is properly cooked and mashed into a paste, add grated goat milk skin-whitening soap to the pan.
  3. Let the soap melt completely and combine with the rice paste. Then, add two capsules of vitamin E oil and mix thoroughly.
  4. Turn off the heat as soon as the soap melts and combines with the rice. Ensure the rice does not burn.
  5. Add two spoons of aloe vera gel and mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a soap-shaped mold or container. Let it cool and solidify. Once it has set into a solid form, it is ready to use.

How To Use Skin Lightening Nila Powder Soap?

It’s the easiest way to lighten and brighten the skin. You can use it like all other facial soaps. Check out the steps below to know the steps in detail about how you can use skin lightening nila powder soap.

  • Wet Your Skin

Begin with wetting your face or the area of your skin (where you want to use the soap), preferably with warm water to help open your pores.

  • Lather the Soap!

Take this skin lightening nila powder soap and gently rub it between your palms until it lathers.

  • Massage the Skin

Massage your skin with this lather in circular motions. Focus on the areas with uneven skin tone, hyper pigmentation and scars. Be gentle to avoid any irritation.

  • Leave It On (Optional)

Let it sit on your skin for 2-3 minutes if you want the ingredients to actively penetrate and work effectively. But it’s optional because the work is done while you’re massaging the lather on your skin.

  • Rinse Thoroughly

Rinse thoroughly with the lukewarm water and remove all the traces of soap.

  • Pat Dry

Use a clean and soft dry towel to pat your skin dry.

  • Moisturize (Optional)

Follow up with the moisture of your choice to hydrate the skin.

  • Frequency of Use

Use the soap 1–2 times daily, depending on your skin type and tolerance. For sensitive skin, start with once daily to monitor your skin’s reaction.

  • Sun Protection

Apply sunscreen if you’re using the soap during the day, as lightening ingredients may make your skin more sensitive to the sun.

Note: Before you use it, perform a patch test to ensure you don’t get any allergies for the soap. Discontinue if any irritation occurs.
